In memorial of my friend and trombone player Hugo Eijeriks who passed away at the age of 43 due to cancer, I wrote the song ‘Voor altijd in mijn hart’ (Forever in my heart).
Together with this song, I started fundraising. Of all donations received, 50% goes to KiKa, the only charity in the Netherlands that funds research on all forms of childhood cancer.
